Gary Hendler, of Ardmore, woke up on Wednesday to discover he was one of 73 people former President Donald Trump pardoned on his final day in office.

Gary Hendler, of Ardmore, woke up on Wednesday to discover he was one of 73 people former President Donald Trump pardoned on his final day in office, according to a staff report from CBS3 Philly.

Hendler applied for the pardon for a drug-related crime he committed in the 1980s.

“I did a double-take,” he said. “I had to look at it a couple times and I felt like, I believe, it would feel if you hit the lottery. It was unbelievable!”

Hendler, who now owns a real estate business, has been helping others recover from addiction since his conviction.
