To bring some holiday cheer and excitement in a year that has been tough on everyone, Jenkintown-based EmpireCovers is hosting a unique art contest that challenges schools in the Philadelphia area to compete in decorating Christmas tree car covers.

As part of the EmpireCovers Holiday Car Cover Contest, students were encouraged to use their imagination to paint and decorate individual car covers and turn them into their own festive wonderlands.

Schools that decided to join the fun and participate in the contest include Wissahickon Middle School, Stephen Decatur School, and Orchard Valley Middle School.

Each participating school has already submitted photos of their masterpieces for the public to vote on. The voting started on December 7 and will remain open until December 17.

The car cover creation which earns the most votes will receive the grand prize of $2,500. Meanwhile the second place car cover will earn $500 while the third-place cover will receive $250.

Teachers and students from the winning team will also get the chance to build their professional portfolio as their cover will be featured on the EmpireCovers website and social media.

EmpireCovers specializes in manufacturing and selling high-quality covers for cars, trucks, boats, and other vehicles.
