Montgomery County is home to seven of the Top 50 school districts with the best teachers in Pennsylvania for 2021, according to a recently published ranking by Niche.com.

To determine the ranking for its list of the 2021 Districts with the Best Teachers in Pennsylvania, Niche.com evaluated factors such as teacher salaries, teacher absenteeism, teacher tenure, and student-teacher ratio.

All districts that made the top 50 received an A+ grade in the Teachers category.

Wissahickon School District ranked highest in fifth place. The district has a student-teacher ratio of 14:1 and an average teacher salary of $110,575.

Next is Colonial School District in tenth place, with a student-teacher ratio of 13:1 and an average teacher salary of $103,883.

Lower Merion School District broke the top 15 by coming thirteenth. The district has a 12:1 student-teacher ratio and an average teacher salary of $118,871.

School District of Upper Dublin follows in eighteenth place.

Lower Moreland Township School District is next at No. 37, closely followed by Jenkintown School District in thirty-ninth.

The list is rounded off with Perkiomen Valley School District at No. 42.
