Even with the pandemic, Montgomery County is seeing a growing number of new businesses opening their doors within both the restaurant and retail industries, according to a staff report from 6abc.

In Ambler, the new eatery Mokja brings modern Korean to the table. Chef Daniel An offers a unique approach to Asian cuisine with a menu that is a perfect Korean American blend.

Meanwhile, Boyds, Philadelphia’s luxury women’s and menswear retailer has joined Suburban Square in Ardmore with a pop-up shop for the season – with the possibility of it becoming permanent.

The fourth-generation company is famous for its iconic Center City boutique which has suffered several setbacks during the pandemic. However it reopened the doors in September and launched a pop-up location in October.

Now in its 83rd year, the retailer is adapting its products to meet the needs of today and is focusing more on casual wear.

Currently trending in Boyds’ curated collection are coats, everyday jeans, and Autumn cashmere sweaters. Hiking boots and sneakers are also currently among its best sellers.

In addition, the retailer offers additional on-site services, such as tailoring and personal shopping.
