Pottstown Singer One of Most-Followed TikTok Influencers

Loren Gray, the Pottstown teenager who rose to fame five years ago on Musical.ly, is one of the most-followed influencers on TikTok, according to a staff report from Yahoo!Life.

Gray created an account on the musical platform which has since merged with TikTok while she was still in middle school. At the time, she did not plan on becoming an influencer.

In fact, due to her overnight success, she said she started getting bullied at school to the point where she had to drop out and start homeschooling.

However throughout her career, she has been very open about her past and the not-so-glamorous life behind the scenes.

In 2015, she moved with her mother to Los Angeles to fully focus on her career. The following year she signed with Capitol Records and soon released “My Story,” her debut single. Several more hits soon followed.

Until March, she was also the most followed person on TikTok but has since been surpassed by three people: Charli D’Amelio, Addison Rae, and Zach King.

According to Forbes, she is currently the fourth highest-paid person on TikTok with estimated earnings of $2.6 million from June 2019 through June 2020.
