Community Health & Dental Care, Inc. (CHDC) celebrates National Health Center Week, The Chemistry For Strong Communities, August 8 – 14, 2021.

National Health Center Week is an annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades.

The national theme this year is The Chemistry for Strong Communities.

Each day of National Health Center Week is dedicated to a particular area of focus. Throughout the week of August 8^th, CHDC will showcase how it provides high-quality health care, improve health outcomes, and narrow health disparities.

CHDC invites the community to celebrate the work that goes into providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to the tri-county area.

Community Health & Dental Care provides medical, dental, OBGYN, vision, podiatry, physical therapy, medication assistance therapy (MAT), integrated behavioral health, care and case management, and free transportation to and from all CHDC health center locations in Pottstown and Barto.

• Monday, August 9, All locations, All day
  • Public Health in Housing Day: Social Determinants of Health Screening (PRAPARE) educational materials will be distributed to staff and patients at all locations. Follow CHDC on social media to learn more about Social Determinants of Health at the health center.
• Tuesday, August 10, Coventry Mall Office, 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Agricultural Worker Health Day: Stop by the Fresh2You Mobile Market in the parking lot of the Coventry Mall Office. CHDC will have a table set up with information. Get your fresh produce and a CHDC tote bag!
  • Healthcare for the Homeless: Culmination of our Street Medicine Donation Drive. All donated items will be collected and given to CHDC Street Medicine Team to distribute to unhoused individuals in our area.
• Wednesday, August 11, Coventry Mall Office, 1 PM – 4 PM
  • Patient Appreciation Day: In need of a fun afternoon activity? Stop by CHDC at the Coventry Mall and participate in a free scavenger hunt throughout the Mall! Complete the scavenger hunt and win a prize. Follow CHDC social media for a patient appreciation video from our staff.
• Thursday, August 12
  • Stakeholder Appreciation Day: Local legislators and first responders are invited to visit CHDC and participate in a tour. If you are interested in participating in a tour and to RSVP, please contact Jenn O’Donnell at jodonnell@ch-dc.org.
• Friday, August 13, All locations, All day
  • Staff Appreciation Day: Healthcare Heroes coloring graphics will be available to all week at all offices for children to decorate and hang up at our mall location. Stop by and color to show your appreciation for local health care heroes!
• Saturday, August 14, Coventry Mall 11 AM – 1 PM
  • Children’s Health Day: Stop by CHDC at the Coventry Mall from 11 AM – 1 PM for free kid toothbrushes, kid friendly snacks, free raffle tickets, and more!
