Update: An Unexpected Elimination Among the Philly Contestants Leaves Royersford ‘Bachelor’ With Fewer Choices
Spoiler Warning — this recap of the second episode of ABC’s “The Bachelor,” featuring Royersford native Joey Graziadei contains spoilers, writes Emily Bloch for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
On just the second episode of the show, the Philadelphia contingent dropped to just one local contestant.
Lauren Hollinger, one of the Philly sisters vying for Graziadei’s attention, decided to self-eliminate. Her sister Allison received a rose from Graziadei at the end of the episode.
A registered nurse at a Rittenhouse Square dermatology office, Lauren Hollinger said during the show, I just can’t deal with it. I hate it here.”
During a wedding-themed date, she becomes emotional thinking about how her father who had passed away seven months before filming would never walk her down the aisle.
Daisy Kent, 25, is considered a favorite on the show. During the episode, she got the chance to go on a one-on-one date with Graziadei. Kent’s family owns a Christmas tree farm.
She revealed during her date that due to side effects from Lyme disease, she has partial hearing loss and wears a Cochlear implant.
“It takes a special kind of person to go through all these challenges in life and find a way to make it positive, Graziadei said during the episode.
“This has only made you seem more interesting, more impressive.”
