A sexy basement at a Broomall split level generated 48 showings in 48 hours and 13 offers to buy the home in September, writes Jordi Lippe-McGraw for the nypost.com.

“As people came through, they told me how they heard about the Boom Boom Room over the years. It was a local legend for a certain generation,” said listing broker Jamie Kerezsi.

The home on Warren Blvd. was listed for $325,000 but fetched $350,000 in a bidding war.

Nicholas and Marianne Angone bought the house in 1968 and built a speakeasy-style bar in the basement known as the Boom Boom Room.

The bar was upholstered in tufted black leather.

Added in was a shag carpet, couches, faux palm trees with stuffed monkeys hanging from the branches and a stuffed armadillo.

The rest of the home has a black and red color scheme (bright pink and blue bedrooms), patterned carpets, chandeliers, a waterfall mural and lots of mirrors.

“From everything I’ve heard, [the owner] seemed like a really fun woman,” Kerezsi said.

Nicholas passed away in 1999. Marianne died in 2019.

“There were clearly a lot of good times here,” Said Kerezsi.
