61 New Positive Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Montgomery County, No New Deaths

Yet another record breaking highest daily increase in COVID-19 cases statewide, wherein Montgomery County has reported over 300 new positives.

As of Friday Sept 18, Montgomery County reported 61 new positive cases of COVID-19, according to the county’s COVID-19 website.

The county reported 310 new coronavirus infections over the previous seven days, and 611 new cases over the last two weeks, 17 more cases than were reported during the previous 14-day period.

Montgomery County’s 14-day count trend continues to tick upward. However, with no new deaths, Montco’s COVID-19 death toll remains at 830 individuals.

The 61 new positive cases reported Friday pushed the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County to 11,633 countywide.

Of those 11,633 COVID cases, 6,106 are females, 5,457 are males, and 40 are unknown.

The average age of individuals with COVID-19 across the county is 49.1 years-old.

COVID-19 contact tracing efforts are ongoing and are critical to slowing the spread of the disease. The County has partnered with ACLAMO, Family Services of Montgomery County, Montgomery County OIC, and Visiting Nurses Association Community Services to help with contact tracing efforts.

Individuals who have been tested or identified as a direct contact of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 and has received a call from any of our community partners may return the call to 610.278.5923 to find out their results or status. All information discussed on the call is strictly confidential and is only used to trace COVID-19 cases.
