A little over a year after starting operations in Ambler, Parry Coffee Roasters is in the process of rebranding as Wake Coffee and adding retail to its wholesale and mail-order business, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

To that end, the company has bought a nearby building and rehabbed it. The business has kept the wide-open, light-filled industrial look of the former auto-repair garage with white-painted brick and concrete floors.

There is now also a glass wall that shows the Probat P12 roster and a huge outdoor beer garden that will open in the spring.

The menu at the retail business includes a full line of coffee drinks along with some alcoholic beverages.

Meanwhile, in addition to baked goods, the menu includes creations by chef Steve Waxman, who operated the nearby Trax for two decades.

Wake Coffee currently offers dinner for private events and plans to add an a la carte dinner menu. But for now, Waxman is cooking up various brunch offerings, such as avocado toast, vegan chili, grilled cheese, a pulled-pork sandwich, and a pork roll-and-egg breakfast sandwich.
