Juwan Adams, a student at Abington High School who desperately needs a bone marrow transplant, is getting support from Sixer Matisse Thybulle, writes Kimberly Davis for CBS Philly.

Adams is an honor roll student. He plays percussion, loves sport, and is looking forward to graduating and going to college.

But he is also battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He has gone through radiation and chemotherapy, but now his doctors say he is running out of time and needs to find a bone marrow donor as soon as possible.

That is when Thybulle heard about Adams’ situation and stepped in to help.

“I just wanted to reach out and let you know I heard about your story,” said Thybulle in a video on Twitter. “I want you to know that you got a friend in me. You’re inspiring me and I know you are going to inspire so many others.”

Hundreds of people have responded to the video, and now the family is hoping it will help lead to a donor.

Anyone interested in becoming a stem cell donor and possibly saving the student’s life can text SAVEJUWAN to 61474.
