VFTCB’s president honored with Main Line Chamber Nonprofit CEO of the Year Award

The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board’s President & CEO, Mike Bowman, was also recognized this year with the Main Line Chamber’s Nonprofit CEO of the Year Award.

The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board’s (VFTCB) President & CEO, Mike Bowman, was recognized with the Main Line Chamber’s Nonprofit CEO of the Year Award, according to a press release.

Bowman received the award during Thursday’s Celebration of Business Leadership event at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern.

“This award is a direct reflection of our industry-leading, trend-setting, and hard-working staff, who all know the true meaning of the word team,” said Bowman. “Thank you to all of our employees for being strategic and innovative, and thanks to our members, our board, and of course, our County Commissioners for all of their support. The positive economic impact of tourism in Montgomery County aligns with the best shopping in America, almost 100 miles of world-class trails, and the Valley Forge National Historical Park that 1.8 million visit annually.”

The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) is an award-winning, private, non-profit membership-based sales and marketing organization which actively promotes Valley Forge and Montgomery County by encouraging patronage of its more than 600 member hotels, restaurants, attractions, and services.

Its mission is to inspire the world to fall in love with Montgomery County, PA. The organization’s vision is to make Montco a must-experience destination, rooted in the past and leading the future. The organization’s efforts contribute to the large positive economic impact of tourism in Montgomery County, which accounts for $1.65 billion and 20,000 jobs.

Also this year, the VFTCB was honored with Manor College’s Community Leadership Service Award.

The accolades add to a growing list of accomplishments for the VFTCB, which earned a record 27 awards and recognition in 2018, totaling more than 50 in the last two years.
