Manor College and Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls will sign an official partnership agreement on Thursday, June 13, 2019  on Manor’s campus. The agreement will allow Saint Hubert’s students to take college-level courses in Business and receive both college credit and high school credit towards graduation.

Manor College President Jonathan Peri, JD, PhD: “Manor College fosters the most efficacious and beneficial paths to degrees for students, through our practical programs, through our incredible value, and through our partnerships. Establishing this agreement with Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls is just one more way that we are making this happen, and we value our cooperative relationship as Catholic institutions and as educational colleagues.”

Students must be recommended by their high school principal to cross register and also meet college admission and course placement requisites.

“Working with Manor College to add College level Business Classes to Saint Hubert’s Curriculum is a dream come true!” said Lizanne Pando, President of Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls. “Our Board has just approved a five year Academic Strategic Plan that tasks us with offering business classes within three years. This offering jump starts our plan and opens up opportunities the young women of St. Hubert would not otherwise have at this time. We are so thankful for our relationship with Manor College and expect to see other partnerships moving forward in the future.”

These partnerships between high schools and colleges allow students to get a significant jump on their college studies. Not only do the students enter college with a significant number of credits, they’ve done so at a fraction of the cost.

Sister Maureen Lawrence McDermott, I.H.M. Ph.D., Chief Academic Officer and Superintendent of Secondary Schools for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education said, “The partnership between Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls and Manor College is another wonderful example of our school leaders exploring innovative educational opportunities for their students.  It is an invaluable opportunity for the young women attending Saint Hubert’s to gain collegiate experience and credit during their high school years.”

“Manor College is truly dedicated to making a college education accessible and affordable for all students. Partnerships like our agreement with Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls fulfill that goal,” said Dr. Calandra Lockhart, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Manor College. “This opportunity will allow Saint Hubert’s students to attain accredited college credits, while still in high school, at a low cost. It’s a fantastic start to a college journey.”
