Officials from Elmwood Park Zoo recently presented a $6,000 check to the Norristown Chamber of Commerce following a successful fundraiser held at the zoo on the chamber’s behalf.

Cuttin’ Up with Barbara D. Mills was held April 14, 2019 in Canopy Gardens. A packed house ensured a successful fundraiser, which was the chamber’s first.

“For those of you who attended our first fundraiser – it was amazing,” said Norristown Chamber President Kym Ramsey. “The room was creatively and beautifully transformed into a blues night club; the food was absolutely delicious (no rubber chicken dinner here); the service was top notch; the fellowship of friends and family- fun; and the entertainment and music from Barbara D. Mills & the Blues Band just electric!  She had everyone up and grooving, swaying and singing!”

The check presentation took place at Five Saints Distilling on Main St. in Norristown in early May at a chamber mixer.

“I can not thank Al Zone and his tremendous EPZ team enough for an outstanding night,” Ramsey said.  “They handled and thought of every single detail – big and small.  The Norristown Chamber of Commerce greatly appreciates EPZ extraordinary commitment to this organization, the business community, and this town.  The Elmwood Park Zoo is an amazing asset for and attraction to Norristown! “The EPZ is a shinning example of the vibrant businesses dedicated to ensuring Norristown is the best place to live, work and play!”
