Norristown welcomes a pair of police officers

Rob Nolan and Matthew Walsh were recently sworn in as the newest officers in the Norristown Police Department.

Nolan comes to Norristown from Blue Bell, and Walsh most recently worked for  the Philadelphia Police Department, according to a post at timesherald.com.

Officers Nolan and Walsh will add to the police department’s authorized 69 sworn police officers. Of those, five are assigned to command staff; 52 officers are assigned to the patrol division; seven are criminal investigations detectives; four are assigned to the  community-oriented policing engagement unit; and one is a traffic safety officer.
