Leadership changes as Colonial Theatre reaps rewards of expansion

The Colonial Theatre, Phoenixville’s anchor destination and the home of “The Blob,” is thriving as a result of the expansion it underwent in 2017.

Over the past year, the  landmark theater has seen an increase in its staff, attendance and revenue figures, writes Kenneth Hilario at bizjournals.com.

When the Colonial expanded in 2017, part-time box office and concession staff positions were added, and the theater also has a volunteer base that usher during movies, concerts and lead theater tours.

Now Mary Foote, founding executive director of the Association for the Colonial Theatre, has stepped down and as of August has been replaced by Kenneth L. Metzner, previously executive director of Philadelphia’s Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers.
