RSVP executive director wins silver in Stevie Awards for Women in Business
RSVP Executive Director Michele Moll was named a winner of two Silver Stevie Awards in the Female Executive of the Year and Most Innovative Woman of the Year categories in the 14th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. These awards honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the organizations they run – worldwide, and have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
Under the leadership of Michele Moll, RSVP has experienced dynamic program growth and expansion beyond Montgomery County to positively impact vulnerable populations in Delaware and Chester counties as well as to educationally disadvantaged youth and veterans in Philadelphia. Program expansion required additional staffing, as well as reassigning staff to manage program impact, according to a press release submitted by RSVP.
Moll oversees 11 unique outcome-oriented programs that enable volunteers to target underserved populations by tutoring struggling students in classrooms or virtually, driving home-bound seniors to medical appointments, counseling juvenile offenders, presenting STEM career choices to students, counseling Medicare recipients, helping adults improve their literacy skills, mentoring at-risk youth, providing capacity building support to other non-profits and by reading to Head Start preschoolers. Moll designed and implemented My Free Tutor, a virtual math tutoring program connecting schools with tutors in any global location by utilizing an interactive whiteboard. This innovative program uses internet-based learning to help disadvantaged high school students and military veterans learn and improve their math skills, for free.
