The co-founders of Huntingdon Valley’s SportsVenting startup are shifting focus from their struggling mobile app, to venture into radio, writes Diane Mastrull for Philly.com.

The SportsVenting Radio Show will air from 6 to 7 p.m. on 610-AM ESPN every Friday, starting today. The show will feature Frustrated Phil and The Woz in a live call-in format. The Woz is Tim Wozniak, SportsVenting’s director of operations.

“We can’t curse,” said Jeff Phillips, known as Frustrated Phil, founder and president of SportsVenting. “If a caller gets out of hand, I may call him an idiot. I’m allowed to use the word idiot.”

The goal is to promote the SportsVenting app which invites users to post pictures or videos of themselves or others, as they are let out their sport frustrations. The show will also be videotaped for Facebook.

The team, which includes a third member, Dan Bagelle, has already produced 24 videos for Facebook and YouTube. However, as far as the first broadcast is concerned, Phil and the Woz are ready.

“I already know that I’m going to blast preseason football and how bad it is,” said Phil. “It’s going to be very easy to fill up that hour.”
