In what seems to be a developing pattern, another political figure embroiled in controversy is from the Philadelphia area, in this case Montgomery County, writes Aubrey Whelan for Philly.com.

Republican Greg Gianforte, the newly elected Montana congressman, is original from Upper Merion. He gained notoriety on the eve of the election when he allegedly body-slammed a reporter who was questioning him about his health care bill at a campaign event.

He was later charged with assaulting the reporter, but still went on to win Montana’s seat in the House of Representatives.
