On her next steps, Anne Fadullon says she plans on starting her own real estate consulting firm and possibly teaching graduate-level classes.

City of Philadelphia planning and development chief, Anne Fadullon, a Flourtown resident, is stepping down next month, writes Ryan Sharrow for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

She has been with the City of Philadelphia for almost eight years managing the planning commission, redevelopment authority, and zoning board of adjustment. She is also the deputy mayor.

Eleanor Sharpe will become interim director of the Department of Planning and Development when Fadullon’s resignation goes into effect on August 23.

Sharpe is deputy director of planning and zoning for the department and executive director of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission.

Martha Cross, who is deputy director of the Division of Planning and Zoning, will also be promoted.

During Fadullon’s tenure, the planning department’s divisions completed the first citywide comprehensive plan in 50 years, and supported dozens of large development projects with a total economic impact of more than $540 million.
