On Saturday, April 22, the Bryn Mawr Film Institute will raise a glass in cheers and thanks to its founder and president, Juliet Goodfriend, at the Leading Ladies Gala.

After 15 years at the BMFI’s helm, Goodfriend is preparing to pass the torch to a yet-to-be-named executive director.

Guests will rendezvous at Goodfriend’s alma mater, Bryn Mawr College, for an evening of dining, dancing, and revelry. The night begins in BMC’s exquisite cloister with cocktails sponsored by Bryn Mawr Trust.

After small bites and libations, the party will move into the stunning Thomas Great Hall for a feast prepared by Peachtree & Ward Catering and Events.

Guided by emcee Dave Roberts of 6ABC fame, gala-goers can anticipate cinematic entertainment from Upstage Video, remarks from special guests, including film industry mogul Ira Deutchman, dancing to the rhythms of a live quartet, and some exciting surprises.

Tickets are currently available on www.BrynMawrFilm.org.

The theme for this event is Leading Ladies, celebrating both leading ladies on the big screen and ladies who lead in business and their communities. Featuring icons like Grace Kelly (a local starlet turned royal) and Katharine Hepburn (Bryn Mawr College’s other most famous alumna), this cinematic celebration has no shortage of glamour.
