Knoll Takes Office Furniture to New Functionality, Experience Level

While many may consider office furniture boring and generic, East Greenfield’s Knoll Furniture would beg to differ after launching its latest set of designer workplace furniture, writes Natalie Kostelni for Philadelphia Business journal.

This is nothing new for Knoll as it has been creating innovative office furniture since the 1920’s. Its iconic Barcelona chair still retains the same basic design as when it was first produced in 1929.

However, its new line, called ‘Rockwell Unscripted’ after its designer David Rockwell, looks to create a new type of workspace.

The new range aims to blur the boudary of work and play by providing a part of home life combined with work funtionality.

“It’s about creating an experience,” said Alana Stevens, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy.
