eee0b7c920The ultimate craft beer festival is coming to Norristown’s Elmwood Park Zoo on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 11 AM.

Tapped Philadelphia, hosted by Tapped Fest, brings more than 100 craft beers, wines, and ciders to the zoo for guests to sample as they roam its 16 acres.

A different take on the zoo’s previously held Oktoberfest, Tapped Philadelphia gives guests a chance to explore Philadelphia’s powerful craft beer culture with selections for local breweries such as Troegs, Victory, Evil Genius, and Prism.

In addition to the local brews on tap, national and international breweries will be in attendance, giving guests a chance to travel the world through their selections.

Guests can play lawn games such as giant Jenga, corn hole, beer pong, and more. The zoo’s Treetop Café, Petrucci’s Ice Cream Parlor, and Sarape’s On-The-Go will be open for guests’ indulgence.

They will also have opportunities to hand feed the zoo’s giraffes and bison.

Tickets to each of the feedings will be available for purchase at the event or from the zoo’s website.

The festival is broken up into two sessions: 12-3 PM and 5-9 PM. Guests can purchase Early Access Tickets to either session for an extra hour of fest fun, beginning at 11 AM and 4 PM respectively.

General Admission tickets to Tapped are available for $39 and Early Access tickets are available for $59. They can be purchased online by clicking here.

Guests will receive a complimentary tasting glass with each ticket purchased.

Tapped is a 21-and-over event only. The zoo will be closed to the general public for the duration of the event.
