Fraternal twins Mike and Tim Duffy of Bala Cynwyd are continuing the family tradition of melding cooking and television with their new Amazon show Eat the World with Emeril Lagasse, writes Tirdad Derakhshani for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The six-episode season that debuts on Friday on Amazon will follow Emeril as he visits a new country each episode to taste its local cuisine.

The Duffy brothers, who grew up watching Emeril’s show, decided to invite their hero to become a part of their new show under the Ugly Brother Studios banner.

“He became the first true celebrity chef when he took over from Julia Child on morning TV,” Mike said.

Emeril will be accompanied by a different guest chef each trip, including Mario Batali of ABC’s The Chew and José Andrés of PBS’s Made in Spain.

“This show, this job, has just been the perfect merging of two of my greatest passions, cooking and making TV,” Tim said. “And we’re making TV with one of the best cooks on the planet.”
