Headquartered in Fort Washington, Nutrisystem is a commercial provider of weight loss products and services. The company initially offered weight-loss counseling and products in brick-and-mortar centers. However, in 1999, the company moved to a direct-to-consumer business model, selling its products and programs on the Internet and through a call center. Nutrisystem’s programs have been sold on QVC since 2001 and in Costco since 2009.
Vice President, Product Development & Research
This position is responsible for driving new product and program initiatives from concept to launch. The focus will be to drive initiatives that will significantly increase revenue growth through new product and program development, oversee the stage gate process, pipeline, and ensure completion of all product/program phases and steps to launch.
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. or M.D. qualification with proven specialization in the weight management arena. He/she should have at least ten years of producing weight management products programs designed for commercialization. The person should be comfortable with numbers and able to understand thoroughly the economics of the company. The candidate should have a solid network of professionals in the weight loss field.

This position leads and manages the productivity of a sales-representative team in an inbound/outbound call center. Responsibilities include driving sales and customer retention, appraising individual team member performances, and planning, assigning, and directing work. The person will also recognize achievement of employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.
The ideal candidate will possess at least an Associate’s Degree in a related field, and have one to three years of sales experience in a call center environment. Microsoft Office Suite experience required, as is knowledge of nutrition, fitness, health, and weight loss maintenance.

This position works within the marketing and editorial teams to write, edit, and update a wide variety of company-sponsored marketing collateral. He/she will manage projects from the editorial end as they route through the department and company. The position will write copy for a wide variety of marketing initiatives, including online newsletters, consumer product materials, print ads, direct mail, emails, and website content.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and have three to five years of experience in writing copy. Experience writing in a digital environment is a plus. He/she must be proficient in applicable publishing and editing software programs, and have a strong attention to detail.
