You don’t need a ticket to one of Philadelphia’s World Cup matches to be part of the excitement this summer.

Starting Monday, June 30, the parking lot outside King of Prussia Mall transforms into one of the region’s biggest free public gatherings of the World Cup era: the Montco Watch Party, a five-day outdoor fan festival running through July 4.

Up to 1,000 soccer fans per match can watch the tournament live on giant video screens, dig into food truck fare, and soak up the kind of communal sports energy that only comes around once in a generation.

Admission is free. All you need is a reservation.

What It Is

The Montco Watch Party sets up in the mall parking lot adjacent to True Food Kitchen and runs June 30 through July 4, with two matches broadcast each day on large outdoor screens.

Organizers cap attendance at 1,000 guests per match, and advance registration is required, so if you’re planning to go, don’t wait.

This isn’t just a place to watch soccer. The event is designed as a full fan festival, with live DJs spinning before and between matches, food and beverage trucks on site throughout the day, and a dedicated kids’ area featuring soccer activities led by Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer and face painting.

The Highlight of the Week

Mark Thursday, July 2 on your calendar. After the evening match wraps up, a free drone light show set to music by DeeJay Shelly is scheduled to light up the sky above King of Prussia.

It’s the kind of add-on that turns a watch party into a genuine summer memory.

Why July 4 Is the Big Finale

The festival closes on Independence Day with extra reason to celebrate.

A quarterfinal match is being played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia that day, meaning the Montco Watch Party crowd will be watching history unfold in real time, just a few miles from where it’s happening.

Getting There

Driving is easy. The mall offers free parking for the event.

But organizers are also making it simple to leave the car at home: a complimentary shuttle runs continuously from June 30 through July 4 between the Conshohocken SEPTA station, King of Prussia Mall, and Valley Forge National Historical Park.

Rideshare passengers can be dropped off near Eataly.

What to Bring, What to Leave Home

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for designated seating areas.

One factory-sealed, one-liter water bottle per person is allowed inside.

Everything else, outside food, alcohol, coolers, and large bags, stays outside.

All food and beverage purchases on site are cashless, and food trucks will be operating throughout each day.

One More Perk

Everyone who registers for the watch party is eligible for a complimentary gift from the King of Prussia Mall Concierge on Level 2, available while supplies last.

Just show your event registration when you stop by.

Tickets are free, but each match has limited capacity and requires advance registration.

With five days of matches, a drone show, live DJs, and a July 4 quarterfinal on the schedule, the Montco Watch Party is shaping up to be one of the summer’s most accessible, and most memorable events in the region.
