TruMark Financial Credit Union recently extended extra support to local organizations to enhance hunger-relief initiatives across our region, including:
- Philabundance ($10,000)
- Chester County Food Bank ($2,500)
- Share Food Program ($2,500)
- Sharing Excess ($2,500)
In addition to efforts made by the credit union, the TruMark Financial Cares Foundation announced the result of its Fight Hunger Campaign, raising $3,604.50 from donors. With the foundation’s dollar-for-dollar match, the campaign generated a total of $7,209 to help address food insecurity across southeastern Pennsylvania.
The fundraiser, which concluded Nov. 30, doubled every public contribution, providing meaningful support to local food pantries during a time of heightened need.
“Food insecurity continues to affect many households in our region, especially during the holiday season,” said Christine Woods, TruMark Financial’s Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility and Government Affairs. “We’re grateful for the strong response from our members and the wider community. The matching challenge allowed us to maximize every contribution, ensuring more families receive the support they need.”
Every dollar raised went directly to five local food pantries, helping ensure that support stays close to home and reaches the neighbors who need it most:
- West Chester Food Cupboard (Chester County)
- Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard (Montgomery County)
- Media Food Bank and Pantry (Delaware County)
- Mitzvah Food Program (Philadelphia)
- Warminster Food Bank (Bucks County)
Altogether, the credit union and the foundation provided more than $24,000 in November to help families facing food insecurity across the region.
“Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to make an immediate and meaningful impact heading into the holiday season,” Woods said.
