Montgomery County Community College’s Montco Cultural Center will host the 65th annual Pottstown Area Artists Guild Members’ Show, beginning with an opening reception on Friday, Dec. 5, from 5-7:00 PM in the Montco Cultural Center North Hall Gallery, 16 E. High St., Pottstown. Free parking is available in the College’s lot at 101 College Drive. The event is free and open to all.

More than 70 pieces will be on display in the gallery, including paintings, sculpture, photography, and a variety of other imaginative artwork from Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, until Friday, Jan. 23, 2026. Throughout the show, visitors can vote for two of their favorite artworks. The votes are tallied on Monday, Jan. 26, and the award is presented to the artist. “We are so fortunate to host such an impressive display of energetic and diverse works from artists throughout the Pottstown area and beyond,” said Patrick Rodgers, Manager of the Montco Cultural Center. “This annual exhibit is certainly one you won’t want to miss.”

The event highlights the College’s strong partnership with PAAG, which began in 2018.

“Each year we’ve collaborated with the Guild has been more impressive than the last,” said Rodgers. “It’s always an absolute pleasure to welcome this diverse group of artists back to campus to shine a spotlight on the wonderfully amazing creativity on display.”

Sabah Farooq, PAAG Show Chair, said visitors to this year’s exhibit will be impressed with the imagination on display.

“In the submissions, there is a lot of creative and innovative use of materials,” she said. “From mixed media, mosaics, and silver leaf— combining textured work that people may want to look at. It’s a unique combination of elements.”

She also recommended visitors stop by some of the three-dimensional works, especially by artist Bob Hakun.

“He’s a well-known artist in the area,” she said. “His work is very intriguing.”

Farooq noted this was the 65th anniversary of the show and said the artistic community in the area shows no sign of slowing down.

“This is part of an organic, artistic boom in Pottstown. Pottstown is flourishing in the arts,” she said. “It’s a very vibrant community. The Guild is riding that wave.”

The Montco Cultural Center North Hall Gallery on the Pottstown Campus is free and open to the community Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-9:00 PM, and Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. The Gallery is closed on Saturdays and Sundays and on holidays. View the College Calendar for details.
