Dear Laney, a Black-owned and women-owned boutique in Jenkintown, that offers everything you may need for your upcoming holiday party, reports Aunyea Lachelle for NBC10 Philadelphia.
Owner Cali Shabazz started her business as an e-commerce shop and showroom studio in South Philadelphia, before she opened her first retail location in Jenkintown.
“Now is the perfect time to shop because I feel like with the economy and what’s going on now, it’s good to support locally and the people, your neighbor, your friend, your cousins,” said Shabazz. “We have little small items as well as jewelry, some home decor items, and also my niece is one of the vendors here. She makes bracelets from scratch. Her business is called Pink Moon.”
The boutique features a broad selection of fashionable clothing, including bubble dresses, elegant sweaters, jumpsuits, and skirts, allowing shoppers to find outfits for any holiday occasion. One of the highlights is the local favorite Janne sweater.
“She is the most popular girl here,” said Shabazz. “She is fun. Fringy and so versatile. I feel like you can dress this up or down too.”
