This year, Bucks County unfortunately had to say farewell to several great restaurants in the area, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
In late January, Doylestown’s Peruvian-Mexican restaurant Quinoa closed its doors. Luckily, it wasn’t goodbye forever, as the owners launched a Quinoa dinner menu on Friday and Saturday nights at its sister restaurant, Latin Pot in Dublin.
Morrisville’s feline-themed brewery, Bitchin’ Kitten Brewery, closed on April 20 after an unexpected announcement. The business first opened in 2021 and was founded by husband and wife Michael and Brigitte Crosson.
The space previously occupied by the brewery will become the home of RiverTide Brewing, set to open in 2026.
On April 5, Awesome Little Cupcakes closed its Bristol shop due to rising costs. However, its Tacony shop in Philadelphia and its food truck are still operational.
Waters Edge Winery & Bistro permanently shut down in September, just a year-and-a-half after its opening. The microbrewery franchise, offering wines made in-house with grapes from around the world, was located at 50 N. Main St in Doylestown.
Other restaurants that shut down this year include Founding Fathers in Bensalem, Sycamore Grill in Newtown, and Craft Barbecue Co. in Lahaska.
See the full list of restaurants that shut down across Bucks County throughout 2025 in the Bucks County Courier Times.
