King of Prussia–based David’s Bridal is now offering a new payment option designed to ease budget pressures for brides and wedding parties, writes Beth Duckett for Digital Commerce 360.
The retailer announced that Sezzle’s buy now, pay later (BNPL) service is now available across all of its locations in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Online checkout support will roll out soon.
The move comes at a moment when wedding costs continue to climb, averaging more than $33,000 nationwide. By offering installment-based payments, David’s hopes to give couples more flexibility during a season when shoppers are juggling holiday spending and year-end promotions. In-store customers can already use Sezzle’s Pay-in-4 option, splitting purchases into four interest-free payments over six weeks.
This addition fits squarely into David’s broader tech-forward reinvention. Under CEO Kelly Cook, the company is shifting to an “Aisle to Algorithm” strategy built around AI tools, integrated planning services, and a more streamlined ecommerce experience. That includes adopting Shopify’s platform and enhancing its Pearl digital ecosystem, which ties wedding planning, retail, and media into a single customer journey.
With BNPL usage surging nationally, especially during the holiday season, David’s says the Sezzle partnership will give shoppers more control during one of life’s biggest milestones.
