Veterans Resource Fair Returns to Plymouth Meeting October 7

Montco’s annual Veterans Resource Fair returns to Plymouth Meeting, offering services, discount cards, and vaccines for local veterans.

Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg is once again opening the doors for local veterans at the annual Veterans Resource Fair. The event is set for Tuesday, October 7 at 9:30 AM at the Greater Plymouth Community Center.

The event serves as a one-stop connection hub for veterans to learn about programs and services offered across the county. Representatives from Montgomery County Veterans Services, Senior Services, and Parks, Trails and Historic Sites will be on hand to answer questions and provide resources.

The Fair is “a deeply meaningful event,” Sorg said. “It’s an honor to spend the day supporting those who have served our country.”

The Recorder of Deeds office will also record military discharge papers and issue Veterans’ Discount ID cards. These provide savings at more than 650 businesses countywide. Additional support will be offered by the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, the Military Women’s Memorial, and the Coatesville VA.

Among the day’s highlights will be a vaccine clinic from Skippack Pharmacy, offering flu shots and the latest COVID-19 vaccines. Veterans can also connect with congressional offices, veteran support groups. These service organizations help with everything from VA benefits to retrieving discharge documents.

Registration is encouraged online or by calling 610-278-3289. To learn more about the Recorder of Deeds and the Veterans’ Discount ID card program, visit Montgomery County.
