‘The Office’ Star and Ardmore Native Honored by Her Alma Mater

Ardmore’s Kate Flannery, best known from The Office, is joining Archbishop Carroll High School’s Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

Ardmore native Kate Flannery, best known for her hilarious turn as Meredith Palmer on The Office, is about to receive a hometown honor, writes Joe Brandt for CBS News.

This weekend, she’ll be inducted into the Archbishop John Carroll High School Hall of Fame, joining a celebrated group of alumni from the Radnor-based Catholic school where she graduated in 1982.

Flannery is part of the Hall’s Class of 2025, which also includes fellow actor Maria Bello, known for her role on NCIS, University of Delaware men’s basketball coach Martin Inglesby, and the 2000 Philadelphia Catholic League Championship football team.

While Flannery’s breakout role came on The Office, her career has stretched well beyond Scranton. She competed on Dancing with the Stars, appeared on The Masked Singer, and continues to tour nationally.

This summer, she joined longtime friend Jane Lynch for The Trouble with Angels, a mix of comedy, cabaret, and music. The two will also hit the road again this holiday season for A Swingin’ Little Christmas, which stops at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside on December 2.

For Flannery, the Hall of Fame nod is a full-circle moment that ties her national career back to her Montgomery County roots. To learn more about her induction, visit CBS News.
