Karin Risi, a former top Vanguard Group executive, has joined the board of directors of Oaks-based SEI Investments seven months after leaving Malvern-based investment giant, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Risi served as the head of strategy, product, marketing, and communications at Vanguard.
Along with Risi, Tom Naratil, former head of wealth management at UBS, joined the board on July 22. Their appointments follow the resignation of board member Stephanie Miller, who left to assume what SEI described as “a leadership role in the industry.”
With the arrival of Risi and Naratil, the SEI board will increase from eight to nine members.
SEI offers technology, operations, and asset management services to the financial services industry.
Risi noted in a LinkedIn post that she is joining the company’s board at a crucial time in its evolution.
“With a strong foundation in asset management, technology, and operations, SEI is well-positioned to lead in a dynamic and rapidly evolving market,” she wrote. “I’m excited about the firm’s commitment to long-term growth and innovation, especially its strategic investments in wealth management solutions for investors and advisors.”
