East Greenville’s Sabrina Carpenter Keeps Breaking Records

Montco native Sabrina Carpenter debuts at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with “Manchild,” her biggest hit yet and a new career high on Billboard.

East Greenville’s Sabrina Carpenter continues her record-breaking streak with her new single, “Manchild”, writes Hugh McIntyre for Forbes.

The new song made a stellar debut across multiple Billboard charts, including a Number 1 landing on the Hot 100. The track, which introduces her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend, also takes the top spot on the all-genre Streaming Songs chart and several others. This signals the biggest music launch of 2025.

A career milestone for Carpenter, “Manchild” debuted at Number 3 of the Digital Song Sales chart with nearly 5,600 downloads – her highest ever on that list.

Previously, her best showing had been Number 5 for “Taste,” a 2024 release from her Short n’ Sweet album. “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” also earned top 10 digital rankings last year.

The local musician is now firmly cemented as a pop powerhouse. “Manchild” becomes her second Number 1 on the Hot 100, with support pouring in from major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal. Radio play is also picking up, with the track charting on Pop and Adult Pop Airplay, with more likely to follow.
