Several local women with roots in Montgomery County have been recognized on Inc.’s Female Founders 500 list for 2025, highlighting their impressive entrepreneurial achievements, writes Lisa Dukart for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Among them is Jeni Britton, founder of Floura. Her startup turns upcycled food like watermelon rinds and apple cores into fiber bars. Britton, known for Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, has seen her brand expand nationally—including a Narberth scoop shop opened in 2023 and an upcoming Bryn Mawr location set for 2025.
Joining her is Laura Taylor, founder of Berwyn-based Mingle Mocktails. Inspired by a personal decision to cut alcohol, Taylor launched Mingle in 2017 from her Main Line kitchen. Today, her non-alcoholic cocktails are sold in thousands of stores, including Wegmans and Whole Foods. The brand gained national attention when Bethenny Frankel invested in 2023.
Also on the list is Sunny White, CEO of Xavier Creative House, a marketing firm specializing in pharmaceutical and biotech branding. A Gwynedd Valley native, White’s company has repeatedly landed on the Inc. 5000 list for fastest-growing businesses.
These inspiring women are making waves on the national stage while keeping strong ties to Montgomery County. Their success stories reflect the region’s thriving entrepreneurial spirit.
