The Philadelphia Eagles’ historic 2024 season, which saw the team win its second Super Bowl, is being commemorated with a new book, writes Jonathan Zavaleta for Rolling Stone.
The book titled, What a Run!: Inside the Philadelphia Eagles’ Unforgettable 2024 Championship Season, will be released on Tuesday, Feb. 25. It features a lot of reporting, articles, and photography from The Philadelphia Inquirer, who covered the team every step of the way.
Overall, the book has 128 full color pages, and features 20 articles and 50 photos from The Inquirer’s sports writers and photographers. There is even an article on the now-infamous backward hurdle Saquon Barkley performed against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Throughout the season, the Eagles were led by Barkley, alongside Jalen Hurts. However, arguably more impressive was the dominance the team’s defense displayed throughout the season, led by its new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. The defense especially showed up in Super Bowl LIX, holding the back-to-back defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs to a scoreless first half en route to a 40-22 victory.
The new book will allow fans to relive the best season in Eagles’ history.
