Ahead of the Super Bowl, Jenkintown’s Bradley Cooper and Chef Danny DiGiampietro made a surprise stop in New Orleans, writes Natasha Dye for People Magazine.
They brought their food truck, Danny and Coops Cheesesteaks, to the Big Easy. Teaming up with Visa, the duo parked their vehicle outside the Eliza Jane Hotel on Magazine Street on February 7, just blocks from the Caesars Superdome, where the Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs.
DiGiampietro, owner of Angelo’s Pizzeria, said they wanted to “bring some Philly flavor to the fans in New Orleans” and saw an opportunity to collaborate with Visa to celebrate small businesses. Cooper, a diehard Eagles fan, first partnered with DiGiampietro to launch Danny and Coops in December 2023.
The food truck’s appearance is part of Visa’s Champions of Small Business Initiative, which supports local businesses with pop-up events and upgraded payment technology throughout Super Bowl weekend.
While in New Orleans, Cooper also made headlines for gifting Super Bowl tickets to 8-year-old Eagles fan LeBaron, who went viral in a heartwarming video.
With classic Philly cheesesteaks and a mission to uplift small businesses, Danny and Coops made a memorable mark on the Big Easy ahead of the big game.
