New Hope’s Bradley Cooper finally saw his biggest dream realized on Sunday when the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, writes Chris Murphy for Vanity Fair.
The Eagles superfan attended the game in New Orleans alongside his seven-year-old daughter, Lea. He also took part in pre-game activities, introducing the NFC champion Eagles on the field while holding eight-year-old Declan LeBaron.
Declan, an Eagles fan who suffers from systemic juvenile arthritis, went viral last month for his love for the team and generosity. Cooper surprised the boy with the ticket to the big game during a Today show appearance.
The popular actor’s love for the Eagles is legendary. During a 2023 interview, he said he would rather see Eagles win the Super Bowl than personally win an Oscar for Best Actor or Best Director for Maestro.
“I know. I’m sick,” joked Cooper at the time.
Two years later, his dream came true.
“I’m just one of thousands and thousands that get the opportunity to love this team and live for this team – be a part of Philadelphia,” said Cooper after the game.
