New Trader Joe’s Store Is Scheduled to Open in King of Prussia

A new Trader Joe's store is coming to King of Prussia later this year, its fourth Montgomery County store.

Popular grocery store chain Trader Joe’s is planning to open its fourth Montgomery County location later this year, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The new store will debut at 224 W. Dekalb Pike in King of Prussia.

But while the company did not set an actual opening date for its latest location, Trader Joe’s said it is “working hard so we can open our doors in 2024.”

“We’ve consulted our maps and compass and have found a terrific location for a store in King of Prussia, PA,” said the company. “We are proud to be joining the neighborhood.”

The new store will open at the Valley Forge Center, which is just a mile from the King of Prussia Mall. It will occupy the space vacated by a Bed Bath & Beyond store that closed last year.

Trader Joe’s operates what it calls “neighborhood grocery stores.” It is known for unique products that are branded under its self-titled label. Its stores usually range in size between 8,000 square feet and 15,000 square feet.

At present, the chain has eleven stores in Greater Philadelphia, including the ones in North Wales, Jenkintown, and Ardmore.
