A Rhode Island-based retail store Ocean State Job Lot, is coming to Pottstown, reports Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The store specializes in selling brand-name household goods, pet supplies, and gourmet foods at deep discounts, is coming to the Pottstown Plaza this fall.
This marks the fourth installment in the region for the company and the second in Montgomery County. The first location, on Bethlehem Pike in Montgomeryville, opened in March 2020.
The new site will occupy nearly 40,000 square feet and share the Plaza with Applebees, Goodwill, Dominos, and Tractor Supply. The retailer plans to hire up to 50 positions, including seasonal and managerial roles.
Ocean State Job Lot was founded in 1977 and currently has 153 stores spread across the country’s northeast.
