The Brandywine Railroad holiday train display is returning to the Brandywine Museum of Art this weekend to kick off the holiday season, according to a staff report from the Chester County Press

Additionally, a new exhibition will showcase miniature worlds created by the Wyeth family of artists, including two extra model train displays.

Both exhibitions will open on Nov. 16 and run through Jan. 5. To fit the holiday theme, the museum’s atrium will be decorated with towering trees showcasing Brandywine’s famous handmade “Critter” ornaments. The season will also bring a variety of holiday events and programs perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

The Brandywine Railroad’s iconic O-gauge model train display debuted in 1972 and has captivated generations of visitors. It features trains running on 2,000 feet of track and made up of over 1,000 pieces, including passenger and freight trains, a small village, a farm, and even a carnival, among many other lovely details.

Meanwhile, The Wonderful World of Wyeth Miniatures will feature dollhouses and model trains previously owned by members of the Wyeth family and lovingly outfitted with handcrafted tiny items like furnishings and paintings.
