SoulJoel’s Comedy Fundraiser Delivers Big Laughs and Bigger Impact

SoulJoel’s at Sunnybrook will host a Comedy Show Fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 3, to benefit Family ServicesMeals on Wheels program, reports The Mercury. 

The Lower Pottsgrove event will feature New York-based comedian Kunal C. Arora, known for his sharp observational humor. The show will take place at SoulJoel’s at Sunnybrook, located at 50 Sunnybrook Road, Lower Pottsgrove. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $30 for VIP seating.

Guests can also dine at Gatsby’s Pub before the show, with 10% of the meal cost being donated to Meals on Wheels.

The Meals on Wheels program, which began in 1971, now serves an average of 120 older adults each weekday in Pottstown, Royersford, and the Lower Perkiomen Valley. The program relies on 160 volunteers to deliver meals and build meaningful relationships with local seniors. 

According to Phoebe Kancianic, the program’s director, “Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver more than just meals. They provide tailored nutrition, social connection, and compassion.”

Family Services, which has been supporting Montgomery County families since 1900, offers a variety of programs focused on health, wellness, housing, and older adults. The organization continues to adapt its services to meet the community’s evolving needs.
