Rising Sun Presents is helping power the live music scene around Montgomery County, the Main Line, and beyond, writes Hobart Rowland for the Main Line Today.
The live music event production collective has brought such acclaimed national acts like Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway and Donavon Frankenreiter to Upper Merion park as part of this year’s Concerts Under the Stars.
Other RSV events include Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts and Ardmore Rock N’ Ride.
“Much of what RSP has done is re-envision existing venues and events with an eye toward a higher caliber of artist, better production, and a better experience for the fans,” said Jesse Lundy, a senior talent buyer at RSP.
Rising Sun Presents consolidates the booking, marketing, production, ticketing, and operational expertise of several local venues, including Point Entertainment, Ardmore Music Hall, and Bonfire Entertainment.
While Ardmore Music Hall is the collective’s flagship venue, RSP also has partnerships with Wayne’s 118 North, Phoenixville’s Colonial Theater, and Underground Arts and MilkBoy in Philadelphia.
“We’ve taken what we’ve done at Ardmore Music Hall, where we renovated and pushed the envelope on programing, and applied the same drive for excellence to things like Concerts Under the Stars,” said Lundy.
