Jill Biden’s Children’s Book Follows Cat Named After Willow Grove, Set for June Release
Willow Grove is the inspiration behind First Lady Jill Biden’s new children’s book, slated to hit the shelves this June, writes Carly Tagen-Dye for People.
Willow the White House Cat centers around the Biden-family cat, ‘Willow’, aptly named after Jill’s hometown of Willow Grove.
The story follows Willow’s adjustment to living in the White House after being adopted from a farm in Pennsylvania.
Willow officially became the First Cat in 2022. Willow first encountered Jill during a campaign stop in 2020, when Willow jumped onto stage when Jill was speaking.
Biden has authored other children’s books including ‘Joey: The Story of Joe Biden.’
