Foodie Scene in West Chester Continues to Boom with Newcomers Expected to Open in Coming Months

The owners of local Turks Head Sauce were approved to open a new restaurant called Rooney's at Dilworthtown back in November. It's expected to open later this year.

The foodie scene in Chester County is showing no signs of slowing down, especially with several highly anticipated newcomers expected to open their doors over the coming months, writes Ben Silver for the Main Line Today

Rooney’s at Dilworthtown in West Chester was first announced in November and is expected to open sometime in mid-summer. The eatery from the owners of Turks Head Sauce will bring the popular food truck menu to this cozy sit-down breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot. 

Serum Kitchen and Taphouse, from the beloved Imprint Beer Company, has been in the works since May 2023. The downtown West Chester location will boast recipes from Chef Carlos Centeno, a chef with Starr Restaurants since 2007. The exact launch date is still unknown but the hiring of employees has already started. 

9 Prime in West Chester opened its doors on Feb. 11 and may prove to be one of the preeminent steakhouses of the Main Line area. The restaurant is located in a 19th-century neoclassical bank and boasts an upscale atmosphere combined with a menu that is filled with dishes full of character.
