This Jan. 23 through Feb. 16, Montgomery County Community College is celebrating the vibrant creativity of its alumni at the annual Alumni Art Exhibition. The exhibition will be held at the Fine Arts Center Gallery of the Montco Cultural Center, Blue Bell Campus.

The exhibit highlights the artwork of more than 20 alumni, spanning a diverse range of media, such as painting, photography, sculpture, and more. To kickstart the event, attendees are invited to attend a reception on Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 5 to 7 PM, where they can personally meet the artists. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the community, and everyone is welcome.

“The exhibit not only showcases the talent and progress of our former students but also serves as an inspiration for current and prospective students as well as community members,” said Patrick Rodgers, Galleries Director. “It’s also a unique opportunity for our alumni to reunite, connect, and share their mutual passion. We’re always excited to host this annual exhibit.”

The Fine Arts Center Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 8 AM-6 PM, Friday from 8 AM-5 PM, and Saturday from noon to 5 PM.

Participating artists include Jocelyn Belisle, Pauline Braun, Anthony Bui, Collin Cousart, Cheryl Dever Rapp, Joanne Funkhouser, Mattie Heeney, Christina Leone, Jessica Libor, Lynn Luig, Marita McVeigh, Rebecca Morris, Summer Nile, Kelsie Reimer Fischer, Samantha Torban, Steven Valera, Bill Vitiello, Helen Webster, and Nasir Young.

MCCC’s Fine Arts Program provides the foundational studies and studio expertise that parallels the first two years of study at a four-year college and enables students to develop their skills and produce a portfolio in the visual arts to obtain employment after earning an Associate of Fine Arts degree. The program offers courses in animation, ceramics, drawing, fashion design, graphic design, illustration, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Many graduates transfer to prestigious art schools, including the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Moore College of Art & Design, Tyler School of Art, and the University of the Arts, among others.
