Montgomery County leaders are encouraging county residents to spend some time in reflection and service as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., writes Rachel Ravina for The Times Herald.

A variety of events are scheduled this weekend and on Monday, January 15, which is Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

“It’s a moment to celebrate the civil rights icon whose acts of service continue to inspire us to this day,” said Montgomery County Commissioners’ Chairwoman Jamila Winder.
