Libertee Grounds was opened in 2021, and is now expanding three years later.

Libertee Grounds, the Philadelphia bar known for its indoor mini golf and hyperlocal beers, has expanded its Francisville location, writes Michael Tanenbaum for PhillyVoice

Amenities for the newly expanded space include a golf simulator, another bar, a lounge, and a private event space.

Another prominent feature is the Philadelphia-themed holes.

The nine holes on the new course pay homage to various Philly landmarks. This includes SEPTA’s Girard Station and the ramps at FDR Park. One hole features a pothole-ridden street with traffic cones and ATVs.

The course also incorporates animatronics, like a rotating raccoon that blocks putts on the third hole.

Those who sink a putt in one of the final holes will send an animatronic Philadelphia Eagles fan up a “greased” pole.

Libertee Grounds is the brainchild of childhood friends and co-owners, Priyank Rambhia, Kanay Patel, and Sanil Shah, who opened the first location in January 2021.

The bar’s 32 taps feature beers from local breweries, including Philly’s Love City Brewing and Attic Brewing.

The menu has a mix of shareable appetizers and Asian-inspired dishes, such as spicy dandan noodles, Korean double-smash burgers, and lamb kheema cheesesteak.

In addition to the mini golf, the bar also has darts, shuffleboard, giant Jenga, and numerous board games.
