Pennsylvania is home to some of the nation’s most iconic sites, but is also known for its many must-visit destinations, writes Lauren Dana Ellman for Travel + Leisure. 

The publication has compiled a list of the state’s best weekend getaway spots.

From its spa resorts to its trendy boutique hotels, Pennsylvania has its share, and Philadelphia isn’t without its representation.

Jennifer Schwartz, a Philly-based travel advisor, is quite keen on Philadelphia’s Four Seasons Hotel, describing it as “Philadelphia’s crown jewel.”

She credits its rooftop infinity pool, gorgeous rooms, and swanky bar, Skyhigh, which she calls “the hottest bar in the city.”

At the hotel, you don’t have to get out of bed to bask in the views, as the rooms and suites offer floor-to-ceiling windows. 

Its central location is yet another attractive feature. 

Four Seasons is located near the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Rodin Museum; and hot food spots, such as Zahav, Irwin’s, Pizzeria Beddia, Via Locusta, and The Love.

There are also two on-site restaurants in Jean-Georges Philadelphia and Vernick Fish.
